This checklist and guide are what I wish I had during my time of loss.
A few hours after my mom died, the first thought that went through my mind was, “What am I supposed to do? And what am I missing?”. My father had died two years prior. It was overwhelming knowing that my sister and I were now entirely responsible for the decisions around the body, the home, the property, and the finances.
Grief is messy. While I can’t organize your messy grief, I can help you manage your tasks in the middle of it. Think of this checklist as a gentle hand to guide you toward peace of mind knowing you aren’t missing something critically important.
Very PRACTICAL Guide for My Therapy Clients
There's a lot out there on "how to grieve", but nothing for the practical side of things... until this book came out. It addresses what to do immediately, within 10 days, within 30 days, within 6 months, etc. It helps grieving people with a task guide when their emotions are all over the place. Buy a few to have on hand and then you can gift it immediately upon finding out about someone's death. I've done that in my therapy practice and it's been such a resource for my clients.
